4 Ways Ladies Lead from their Strengths

The more you live, work, and serve out of your strengths, the more ease you’ll experience. It sounds so obvious and too simple, huh?  But let me show you what I mean. Try this handwriting test: write your name with the hand you use least. Next, write your name again with your most used hand. See how easy and almost effortless that feels compared to the first time? That’s what it feels like when you live and lead from your most natural talents and skills. When you try to accomplish things outside of your natural strengths, it takes more effort, concentration, and energy. But when you lean into your natural capabilities, it just seems so much more, well, natural.

So, what’s so special about you? This little acronym can help you figure that out:

T: Testimony – your personal story from the experiences you’ve lived, celebrated, overcome
A: Abilities – skills you were born with and/or develop along the way like cooking, writing, singing
G: Gifts – spiritual gifts you possess like mercy, faith, serving, teaching, encouraging
S: Strengths – patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors like adaptability, competition, harmony

You are unique. Really. No one else in this world has your DNA, your fingerprints, your special combination of traits and talents. You’re not one in a million, you’re one in 33 million! Yes, according to the Gallup CliftonStrengths organization, your exact combination of talent themes is unique to you out of millions of people. That doesn’t even consider the other TAGS you possess!

It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others.Ephesians 2:10 TLB

Here are a few ways you can learn more about your own TAGS:

  • List all of the things you’re naturally great at doing. Then of those, circle the ones you also love. If you want to live with more ease, do more of those.
  • Write your story. Download this free graphic organizer that will help you reflect on your life story.
  • Ask a couple of trusted friends or colleagues to describe you in three words.
  • Create goals for every area of your life, not just your career. Dream about your whole life.
  • Take the CliftonStengthsFinder and consider coaching to learn more about enaging them.

Leading is truly so much easier when you embrace who your Creator made you to be. You were created on purpose, with purpose, for purpose and embracing your unique blend of talents will help you to thrive in that purpose. When you lead from your God-given talents, you’re able to leverage your efforts for more success.

I believe that God will remind and reveal His work in your life to you as you work through writing your testimony.
